Environmental commitmentThis document explains the commitment of PROCES-DATA A/S’ to environmental issues, especially in relation to the implementation of the following two EU-Directives:
WEEEThis directive aims to prevent waste caused by redundant electrical and electronic equipment in the EU. In addition, it encourages the recycling, reuse and other forms of recovery of such wastes. |
|
Products that are covered by the WEEE directive must be marked with the WEEE symbol. |
|
PROCES-DATA products are classified as ‘components’ and as such are not covered by the WEEE directive. Also excluded from the WEEE directive are control systems and other equipment used, for example, in fixed industrial installations, vehicles, ships or outside the EU.
In the event that PROCES-DATA does sell a product that is covered by the WEEE directive, it will be marked accordingly and can at the end of its useful life be returned to the PROCES-DATA factory. For no additional charge, PROCES-DATA will ensure that the handling and treatment of the received WEEE is performed in an environmentally friendly way that fully complies with the requirements of the WEEE directive.
We recognize the requirements of the EC directives 2002/96/EC and the amending directive 2003/108/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment. PROCES-DATA has co-operated with a certified recycling company for many years, and already actively faces the challenges of environmental and health protection.
Any WEEE returned to PROCES-DATA must be clearly marked as such.
RoHS
RoHS listed products made by PROCES-DATA conform to the RoHS directive, based on exemption as described in the RoHS directive Article 2, section 1. Even though exempted, PROCES-DATA still complies to a considerable degree with the requirements of the RoHS, because of the environmental preservation policy of the Company. In addition, we are preparing for solder connections containing lead to be phased out.
The banned substances involved are: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). |
